These eco-friendly products are created from recently-fallen, long-leaf pine needles indigenous to the mountainous region around El Sauce, Nicaragua. Being diligent to perfect their basket-coiling technique, the women of Fuente de Pino are masterfully sharing their artistic heritage with you!
Each basket is well-shaped with tightly coiled “ropes” of long pine needles. A splash of color is added at both the center of the basket as well as the edges to define the basket’s particular design. We offer these lovely pine needle baskets in distinctive designs, this one specifically referred to as the round fruit bowl. Its defining characteristic is its scallopped edge! This design is available in multiple colors and in three sizes.
