The village of Napanad lies in the rural northeast of Thailand, quite near the Vietnam border. Napanad is home to the Tai Dam (Black Thai) people, who have a heritage of weaving. A number of women in Napanad have come together to form ThaiWeave, a Fair Trade weaving guild. Eat, the head weaver, desires to keep the weaving heritage alive as well as to provide jobs and a steady income for other women in the village.
