A beautiful hand-painted decorative plate from the city of Avanos in the Cappadocia region of Turkey.
These plates are representative of the Iznik style, which (generally, though not exclusively) leans heavily on shades of blue and white. Designs are often geometric, but will sometimes feature vines and stylized flowers, particularly tulips. NOTE: These plates are for decorative use only and come equipped to be wall-hung. While they could be used as a display piece for fruit or nuts, the glazes are not certified as "food-safe" and should not be used for cooking or serving. Size: 22cm - approximately 8.7"
